BOOK
The words are arranged in the interesting "parable libretto" format. Deliberately, the text is neither too short nor too long, so that the reader can read the book and enjoy the music for a reasonable and convenient period of time (for example, half a day).
SYNOPSIS
The oldest grandmother in a mountain village tells the ancient legend of the “Malachite Forest”. Every 27 years, on Christmas Eve a gate opens to this amazing and mystical forest. The “Malachite Forest” traps those who have given up on life and wandered without support or direction.
Those who have lost their way face serious trials and challenges. Those who fail to pass them remain forever in the “Malachite Forest” and meet their end there. Those who succeed are rewarded richly, and they return completely changed.
Desperate for his life (as a result of a personal tragedy), the protagonist loses the ability to see colors, and the world for him is black and white. Absorbed by the “Malachite Forest”, he encounters many adventures and twists.
After overcoming each of the four Trials (which are metaphors for his fears; limiting beliefs; understandings of the meaning of life, dignity, responsibility and freedom; temptations; personal choice) he begins to see one after another in a certain order the colors (green, red, yellow, blue).
His journey through the “Malachite Forest” takes him back through each season (winter, autumn, summer, spring) until he finds himself back on Christmas completely purified.
Finally, he has been able to cross the forest successfully. The ability to find the "way home" and to see the world in color is his main reward. And the biggest surprise (gift) is hidden in the last paragraph of the book.
